I had a similar question months back when I 1st got my truck...my concern was about the rings seating while using the mix. the answer I got was no, it didnt matter. So, i've been using it 90% of the time now (there are times when I dont have it with me to pour in when i fill up).

I would say no it doesnt matter, I can tell you one thing though...once you do add it you'll be hooked.

welcome to df

OK, so when you guy's add the brew? Do you wait until the tank is bone empty, or could you use it at the perscribed dosage at lets say 1/4 tank? I'm no chemist, so i don't want to hafta bust out the slide rule every time I get fuel.

LOL !!

I usually dump in about 30 gal each fillup and use the 16/8 ratio then. I dump it in prior to filling up. If I dont have it with me, I'll dump it in when I get home.

I don't think my gas tank is that big. Not sure. I think when I fill up it's usually about 25 gallons or so. Does that matter?

Pouring it in before filling up helps mix it

mine has a 36 gallon I believe but when the fuel light comes on, if you fill up right then, it only takes 26 gallons.

You're probably right, but I fill up at about 1/4 tank. I don't wait until the light comes on ( usually )

Would putting the perscribed mixture in at 1/4 tank be OK? Would I hurt anything if I did?
