Default Mpg update

Ok, I have averaged the last 3months of running the brew and compared to the 3months without the brew. Without the brew I ran an average of 17.1mpg city/highway. With the brew I averaged 18.7 mpg city/highway. That makes for a difference of 1.6mpg (all numbers are a little low as I haven't had the speedo recalibrated since the bigger tires).

right on... Once I saw what the brew did for my truck I rarely go without it. when I 1st got it in March '06, the brew smoothed out the motor significantly. it used to vibrate alot (all of the ones I test drove did), put the brew in and it smoothed it right out.

I mix mine per the specs on the container, so it's a little stronger than what Drew uses,, but I tell ya,, without it, it sounds like theres about a handfull of nuts and bolts in the oil pan, and with it, its as smoothe as a babys butt,, it just sings. Just watchin the overhead, I get about 1 1/2 mpg better with than without. all in all, I think it's worth the money.

I haven't yet tried the brew yet, but seeing these mpg updates really makes me start to wonder. Since I'm only getting about 14mpg, every mpg I can get I'll take.

Has anyone ever figured out if using it DOES lead to having to change your fuel filter more often? I remember Steve asking this a while ago but I don't remember the answer. I'm not looking to save money in one area only to hafta dump it somewhere else.

it did nothing to the fuel filter... I changed mine @ 10k and it looked like there was still some life left in it (white areas)

LOL .... nope, I've never tried it.

I remembered your questioning the fuel filter thing, and I've always been a little nervous about adding something to my fuel. I dunno .... I'm weird I guess. I didn't want my truck to get used to having me run something, and then the one time that I don't have it and just fill up without using it have my truck puke and die or something.

Lol .... yeah, I'm weird .... LOL

If I fill up and dont have it I add it later when I get home after fill up.

Then take it down the drive way and hit all of the pot holes. To mix it up.
