That is the way it is here. Murphy USA at Wallys is still $2.36 ( but they will go up with in a day or two) yet 1.5 blocks east at Mills Fleet Farm it's $2.59. I can see no reason why as gas has not gone up in over a week. In fact both gas and diesel went down 3 cents 7-8 dasy ago. I have had time to check out 3 other places and they too have gone up in price over the past 3 days for no good reason.

I just read that the cost to heat our homes with gas in October was lower this year over last year and yet we were 7 degrees colder. They claim that it saved us about 33% or $80.00 on last months bill. This must be why diesel is on the way up as they don't want us to have that $80.00 for us to enjoy. It may be a crime if we were to spend that money on our family and or who/what ever!

I agree DBLR my family and I have been blessed with the ability to build our house so that we can heat it with wood and regular central heat as a backup. I would rather give my money to people who work for it by cutting and delivering the would rather than some fat guy sitting behind a desk counting his billion dollar profits. Yes it does get cold here in the panhandle for those who say it doesn't get cold in Texas. I have been here 10 years and every year we had at least 1 day every winter below 0 so much for global warming.

What I wouldn't give for those prices. We have been over $3.00 for a while now. Of course everything is more expensive over here.[:@]

The 1/2 tank of fuel I put in at Murph USA/Wall Mart yesterday must of been some of the old LSD. I noticed that my over head is reporting about 3/4 mpg better over the last tank of fuel and I have not yet added the Brew to it Oh it's also about 25 degrees colder today so my mpg should not of went up as I had to warm it up on first start. I sure wish they would keep get more of what ever it is it if it will boots my MPG.

Oh the price is up 11 cents from when I fuled yesterday to $2.47. I wish I had a 50 gallon barrel to store fuel in as I know that in a few days all the fuel will be at or above $2.59.

One of the problems with Diesel Fuel pricing is the fact that the Fed. Government and many State Governments add additional taxes to Diesel Fuel, to compensate for the wear and tare on the highway systems from "Big Rigs". It has been proved that Big Truck traffic damages the roads from 3 to 8+ times faster than auto traffic due to the weight factor. There is a movement underway to allow diesel pickup ownere to get a credit back for the extra Diesel Fuel tax. I don't give that much chance because once any Government body gets their hands on your money, they sure won't give it back.

The only thing we can do is to keep the right foot off of the floor. Our pickups, especially the dualies have a large "Wetted" frontal area, and produce a lot of air resistance. I see a big difference in milage, 3-4 MPG drop from crusing at 80 instead of 70.
