There are pros and cons to everything. The weather is great and it is beautiful. You can't drive very far and even if you could there is nowhere to go. Hell we don't even have a football team. The other bad thing is everything needs to be shipped here. Try buying something off the internet, free shipping excludes Alaska and Hawaii.
All that being said: I am pretty lucky and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
As for taking you to seriously don't worry about it. I am here every day I just have time to read everything in the morning before I have to hit the road for the day. By the time I get back most people here are offline already.

Dude, you livr in HAWAII ... it doesn't get any better thsn that.
Which island do you live on again? I was in Kona a couple of years ago and I got to watch the Wahini ( sp ) tournament. It was pretty cool seeing those fish come in at the end of the day. I gave it a shot myself a day or two later and all I cauht was a sun tan.

I live on the big island. Obviously in Hilo. It is the complete opposite of Kona. Which means it is green and rains all the time. Great place for trucks though. Almost no such thing as a 2wd over here.
Where do you hail from?

You lucky ones...we pay 5,1 dollar a gallon today in Sweden. The price of diesel has been much cheaper than regular (premium) before but today the diesel is almost more expensive here. And my guess is that the fuelprices will go up until...well I dont really see a stop. Lots of companies in northern Europe (Sweden, Finland, Denmark) lay huge amount of money on research for alternative diesel fuel, "ecological diesel" made of trees and animal fat.

Welcome aboard Sweden !!!
Diesel is now around 2.53 per gallon here in Houston. I looked at Diesel pickups for about 3 years before buying mine this past May. It seems diesel prices are always higher than gasoline in the winter, but lower in the summer. That's how it is here in Houston anyway. You would think it would be lower in Houston than other places posted on this thread considering that Houston practically is a refinery and the lower transportation costs should lower the price at the pumps here.
