New Cummins V-6 & V-8
We will be seeing these in '09.
V-6 : 4.2L , 270hp , 420 lb-ft torque , in a Durango at highway driving - 25 mpg
V-8 : 5.6L , 325hp , 500 lb-ft torque , in a Ram 1500 at hwy driving - 24.6 mpg
The write up states that Cummis says "the light truck diesel is going to happen in '09"
Makes for interesting reading.

I hope the V-6s and V-8s that will be going into these LDs hold up as well as the I-6 in the HDs.
They should also put the V-6 that would go into the Durango into the Dakota.
I tell ya, midsize truck with the industry exclusive diesel motor will (if engineered correctly) will be a hit.
I won't hold my breath, however. Ill believe it when I see it.

there puttin a diesel in a durango? I hope they put one in a dakota. if my engine ever quits(which it wont be for a long time) I'm puttin a diesel in my truck.
