Default Boost sensor i.e map sensor

I have a 2000 2500 ram and it has no low end power. I test drove a buddy of mines 2001 2500 ram and his low end from a stop to go is night and day. I aslo have the top of the line banks kit on my truck and he could beat me of the line all day long. When I take my truck on the high way and get the RPM's going and put my foot into it all is ok it's just going from a stop. I'm thinking a boost sensor.

I would think that if the sensor was bad, it would set a code. I would first check fuel pressure since that is a common problem and could becausing you to have no low end.

I'm not sure what the fuel psi is on my truck but I did check it and it was 7psi with just the pre pump and 10 with the truck running. I'm sure it will be the main pump because it costs what 3000.00. I'm just not ready to come to terms with that much money
