Default disconnecting Edge EZ chip

The truck I bought about a month ago has a Edge EZ chip. I need to get emission testing done and need to take off the chip. On the chip wiring harnesses, two go to the back of the block, one of those connects to another factor wire the other plugs into the block. I guessing that I need to unplug the chip from the block and the factory wire then plug the factor wire into the block. Would this be correct?

The other wire off the chip goes to the front of the block and connects to factory wires, I guess. When I disconnect the chip wire, What do I do with the lose factory wire at the front of the block?

Thanks,
John..

when you have to yank the edge, the original wiring harness is right there to be plugged back in... shouldnt take more than about 10~15 minutes max to yank it. as you un-plug it, you'll have another plug right next to it on the harness plugged into the original connector. un-plug that one and re-isntall onto the motor.

Ok, I took out the chip. The map sensor plug was a ez. The data link plug left me with questions.

When I disconnected the chips data link plug at the front of the motor I could not reconnect the two factory plugs together. It looks to me that one end of the plug was cut and the plug was replaced with a different style to match the chip's plug. Will there be a problem with emissison testing if the Data link plug at that spot is not connected? I started the truck and it seemed to run fine..
