I'm on the verge of buying an Aero, too many good things being said about it also I see no point in buying a new 4 inch exhaust system when I already have 4 inch exhaust and just need a better performing muffler right?
Well, my only hold is the sound levels. Is the Aero w/out the reasonator very loud...like straight pipe loud? The noise level isnt a BIG issue, I just dont want it to be as loud or have the same sound as a straight pipe because I dont like it. When I'm towing my race trailer, I'd like to be able to hear myself think![Smile](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Any input would be great....Steve you seem to be the man to talk to on this, so speak up! Ha!
Also, do you think it will be a good fit with my other mods that you see in my signature?
THANKS!

Why aren't you considering the resonated version if noise is a concern? It's still a straight through pipe.
Here's my Aero and it's a resonated one. Sounds perfect to me.

Mayfair, do you feel you still got some good performance gains? I just need to quit being a sissy and buy it!

My truck ran pretty good with my old 16" rims and tires. When I switched t the 17" set up, my truck now ran like a slug. Once I put the Aero on, my truck ran just as good if not better than with the 16's on it. I can only magine how it would run if I put the 16 back on, but that aint gonna happen.
As far as your last comment ..... you said it, not me !!

I have the Aero (with resonator) as well and I say......
Go ahead and put the order in, You wont regret it!
With regards to the sound the aero gives a good throaty rumble on the outside and is slightly (if that) louder on the inside. At cruising speeds its all good. None of the "drone" complaints as with other mufflers / deletes.
As far as power / performance I cant say that I noticed the extra HP but that is primarily d/t the additional mods done around the same time. It does however seem to spool quicker and the truck opens up and accelerates quicker on the top end. (going from 60-90 = hang on!)![Big Grin](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
All in all I say go for it!
