I have no communition between my ECM and fuel injection pump. I don't have a crankshaft sensor on my 2001 truck. What else could this be other than the injection pump module? I don't have a clue...any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

ARGH!! I am beating my head against the wall with this...I bought a crankshaft sensor (which my truck doesn't even have), and pulled the damn fuel tank out (cause I thought it was the fuel pump). Now I replaced the lift pump and it's working, but my truck still won't run...I just don't understand what the problem is....any help at all would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!

 

Any fault codes?

P1689 = Oil Pressure Control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction


I believe the 98.5 and up trucks need to have some sort of signal from the oil pressure transducer in order to fire

check the sending unit and make sure it's connected or it could be bad.
