That'll be a great mod to have a ton of pics of. I hear ya about the weather. I washed my truck yesterday in 42 degree weather. When the wind caught the water it was COLD !!!!

I just noticed that you have the fog lights in the little holes in your bumper. I asked my Dad ( the original owner of my Ram ) why he didn't order them when he bought my Ram since he ordered every other option, and he told me that they weren't an option for diesel rams. Something about the cooling system or something, I can't remember.

Did your Ram come with them or did you put them in later?

Hmmm .... I wonder if the dealer was telling the truth to my father? He definately would have put them in.

Do you see any reason why I can't put them in now? Do you think it'll hurt the cooling of the truck? There IS some sort of radiator behind one of the holes.

 

Won't hurt anything. Easy install. The headlight switch is different if you want to keep it looking factory. Added foglights to my buddies 01 ram. Got the headlight switch to keep it looking factory. You pull the **** out for foglights with the switch.

Since I put the tow mirrors on my truck, I learned that I can't go through my credit unions drive through anymore without folding a mirror back. Im now about an inch too wide....

 

The reason your truck runs lower RPM's is the Auto trans you have verses the manual trans I have. THe G56 has a lower OD gear than the auto.

 

You've had the truck long enough now, it's time to take the training wheels off.

BTW, I have to find it again, but there is a great web site that you can calculate everything out to help choose gears. To find tire diameter you take ((width in inches * height ratio) * 2)+ rim diameter. Example: my tires width 265mm = 10.433inch * .7 (70 series) = 7.303 *2= 14.606 + 17 (rim) = 31.606 tire diameter. If I can find the site I 'll post the link.
