exhaust??
I straight piped mine except I did leave the cat in for emissions reasons. As for just removing the muffler, I can't see a whole lot that could be voided warranty wise except for the muffler itself. You might want to give your dealer a call & ask for sure. I'm still trying to get used to the sound of mine. It sounds kinda "ghetto" inside the cab but it sounds great outside.

I saw no benefit except for the sound. Maybe there is a benefit or downside as far as low end torque but but my seat-o-the-pants meter registered no difference either way when compared to when the muffler was still on. By "ghetto" I meant that it sounds loud like it's missing the muffler (which it is). Outside I like the sound of it.
Putthe Aero Turbine muffler on it and you'll be fine. It's still a straight pipe design wit some resonators built in.

What year is your truck? When I bought my truck from a dealership used, it had no cat and a gas engine muffler. Because they received it with cut-outs, the dealer didn't even know it was supposed to have a cat. When I bought my turbo-back 5" duals from Magnaflow, the new exhaust was actually quieter than the old 3.5". The biggest benefit of removing the cat and muffler would be lower EGT's and less smoke (along with more noise).
