Default New Diesel Owner

Hey everyone. I recently went up from my 1500 to a 2500 with a cummins turbo diesel. HHMM looks like I need to change my sig. Ok, to not waste to much time I had a couple questions. If cheap enough I would like to go back to stock wheels on it. Currently it has some nice aftermarket wheels, but they stick out from the truck slightly. I would like to go back to the stock look without any of the tire sticking out. Does anyone have any advice on where I might be able to cheaply go back to a stock look?

Also, if I go back to a stock wheel, will I encounter any rubbing on the upper control arm? I currently have the 285 BFG A/Ts.

Another minor request. Does anyone have any advice on replacing or repairing an overhead console? It's just the standard package so there isn't a computer in it, but the map lights no longer click and the sunglass holder appears to be MIA. My best guess is just get another from my local junkyard.

Oh and how did I forget. It's a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with a CTD of course. I was a little nervous to buy it since it had 188k miles on it, but the truck is very clean excluding some minor interior items that need to be fixed. Luckily it got a brand new injector pump at 180k so I shouldn't need to replace that soon. I'l be checking the lift pump soon. Any comments on maintenance would be appreciated.

Oh and if anyone wants I'l toss up some pictures of it. Alright, thanks everyone.

P.S. - It's late, sorry for any typos.

Can only help ya on the overhead. Just to little clips in the garage door opener. Flip dwn the lid and push the clips forward I believe and the whole things slide out from the rear .

I've still got my stock 16" rims and tires. Where do you live?

Thanks for the info jakebrake. I'l have to see how much another one will cost. Or if I can possibly repair it at all.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Unfortunately not many on the forum seem to live out here. If you are relatively close how much would you be looking for to sell me the wheels? Also I have a discount with FedEx shipping but I'd have to see what the total price would be. Thank you very much for offering to sell your stock wheels.

Yeah, I agree. I'm all the way over in Philly so the cost of shipping them alone makes it nt worth it. I've found quite a few things on craigslist ( although I though it was a .com, not a .org )
