How cold is it where you are tonight?

RE: How cold is it where you are tonight?
It was 9 last night in central Iowa. We missed a butt load of snow yesterday by about 4 degrees. Istead we got rain which turned to ice for us this AM. Snows on the way toinight they say. Only 2-7 inches.
Jengel,
Nice deer, How far out did you have to reach with that 30-30?
I'm jealous. Only shot guns here in Iowa / Illinois.

That there Winchester is a 45 Colt. Got him at about 100yds with a Oregon Trail 300gr cast flat point bullet with about 22gr of H-110. I decided to go retro this year and leave the scoped Ruger M77 .270 behind. I had a S$W 625 45 Colt Mountain Gun as backup. To make this a Dodge legal post, I picked him up in my big blue dodge diesel dually.

Low of 13 above 0 last night here in the high desert. Was 19 when I left for work this morning at 5:00, already matched the high for yesterday. I plugged in the Block Heater last night, actually about 3:00 this morning. Seemed to make a difference, meaning it didn't run too rough at start up or blow smoke for a minute or so, but the wait to start light still came on. However, it was only on for about 5-6 seconds not 10-15.
Maybe plugging it in is worth it, but when the baby starts sleeping all night I'll have to get a timer or something to kick it on automatically instead of leaving it plugged in all night. 750W would add up. Then again who knows since it isn't plugged in at work so it really doesn't matter that much I think.
That is a good looking buck. Our deer season is over here (only 10days) unless you fling sticks, then they give you a couple of shots at them. Everyone seen the Amish Buck?
I'll try and attach it.

Does anyone live near the Virginia Beach area? I'm getting a 2500 Mega-cab Diesel next year and wanted to know if I really needed a block heater? I'm pretty new to the area (stationed in Louisiana for the last 8.5 years) so I'm not sure if it gets cold enough for it. Like today, it's going to be 74*!
