I've searched and searched, but nothing
Back when I bought my CTD in October, The CEL or MIL (whatever you want to call it) came on after one day of driving. Turned out to be nothing and it went away on it's own after 5 starts. Now the light is on again, not blinking but just steady. Already been through five starts and still there.
I think it was Drew, but couldv'e been somebody else, posted the little trick on how to get the truck to show what code was being thrown. I cannot remember for the life of me right now what the procedure was, and when I get it I would like to go to the link posted by Drew that lists all the codes and their descriptions.
Does anyone remember how to get the truck to display the codes?[&:]
What was that website?[&:]
Also, while searching the past forums (for the past two hours) I noticed that lots of people have these codes come up, and most can go to Autozone or somewhere and have them checked/reset for free. However, for those of us that live at the edge of the earth maybe one of the people with the power to tack a post in the top of the forum could add one that included an FYI about pulling codes and where to go on the net to find out what they mean. I don't know about other places, but the dealership here in town knows damn good and well that if you got a problem with your truck you have to take it to them. They are the only game in town, and in any town for at least 130 miles either way.
I am trying to learn all of this stuff so I can avoid giving in to the man for minor stuff. Lots of good things on the DF.

Well, I must not have typed the right thing into the search criteria. I did find the method and website under FAQ. So what came up was:
P0111 IAT
P-0513
P-0514
The IAT seems to be a common one amongst DF members. My question is will this go away on it's own, or is a shop reset required?
The 0513 remains from the day after I bought it, but it hasn't caused the CEL to come on since it went off in Oct.
The 0514 is a new one that is not on the code database. Any ideas what this might be? the 0513 is not on there either, but somehow Drew found out it had to do with the Sentry key being the wrong one, turns out dealership cut the key, but never programmed it. Hopefully I can get them to program it when I go back in there since the key is useless to anyone, except as a door key.
Thanks for help and patience.
