Is this the exhaust temp gauge sensor?

Clear fuel filter drain hose?

What is this? It loks like some sore of MACH-5 jack or something.

It could be some thing for a PTO. But I guess we will have to wait and see what every one else thinks it is.

My guesses, 1) O2 sensor, 2) Clear hose is in fact fuel filter drain (mine has this already), 3) particulate filter (emissions crap). These are just my guesses let's see if I'm right or wrong.

an EGT sensor that far down the pipe and after the kitty. . .I dont think so. . .

might be a particulate sensor to tell the computer when the filter needs to be cleaned

They are measureing the egt after the dpf to make sure it is getting hot enough to burn the soot that it collects. If that temp drops to low as in extended idling, the dpf won't burn the soot and it will plug.

now that does make sense

all this emissions stuff may work and might do a good job, but it is just more crap to fail in my eyes.

I'm surprised that they didn't wrap the exhaust. On most of the otr trucks, they are going to heat wrap the exhuast up to the dpf to try to keep the exhaust as hot as possible

that first pic you pisted there sure does look alot like the kitty that ran off my truck, I figured the filter was a bit closer to the engine.
