Cumminalong,

Nice idea. I am throwing around the same as I would love to get a winch on my truck. I'd like to get it done without forking over 2k on a custom bumper. Have you looked into the Warn Trans4mer system? I believe they sell that system either in a fixed winch position mount or a removable, front or back.
That's the thing. I don't want a monster brush guard. I want it small, out of the way and doesn't weigh a ton.

I like things versatile and adding the receiver up front is handy as all heck.

I guess I'll start measuring and mocking up a model this weekend........if the wife will stop with this Christmas crap already.

Brother you don't even understand!

My wife is a Chrismaholic. She starts with the Christmas stuff before Halloween is even here. By the time Christmas actually comes around I feel like I've been subjected to a Jim Carey movie marathon. I swear, my brain is numb by the time all is said and done.

But on a lighter note, hope everybody has a Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, or whatever you like to call this time of year.........SO AS NOT TO OFFEND ANYONE!

Fab it up, powder coat it or rino it, could make the bolt holes somewhat oversized to accomidate any differences caused by accident or bad assembly(of the truck that is). I am serious send me a dimentioned sketch or a complete part I will pay, I had spoken to a local welder about getting it built. It is spookey how close to the design I had sketched out on a note pad, good ideas are good and great minds think alike.

Christmas, I have the whole family coming to town from all over the contry, if I am not in a rubber room by the first I will believe in divine providence.

Good ideas. I'll start the measuring this weekend and see what I come up with.

I think my biggest concern will be the length of those bolts for the tow hooks. As long as they are long enough, it should be pretty easy.

I'll start by getting the tow hook plates made, then build it off of that.

Hmmmm.....

I hear ya about christmas, I don't think I am even going to get a tree this year. Oh and to let you know, I've started on the jake's. I'm gonna pull the valve cover next weekend to get measurements and to see if it's even possible on these 5.9's

Hey Rich,

click the link in my siggy and then go to the custom bumper section, at the bootom of that page you'll see a front bumper with the reciever hitch already mounted and I know for a fact Preston could modify the bumper a touch to give you two other mounting points for shackles or what ever else you want.
