Default Pull the car or not??

So guys, has anyone actually pulled there cat off?? I have no emissions testing here till 2012, so I can run for 5 years then put it on for emissions. I have the banks exhast system on it now, but do you think droppin the cat will increase power and performance? Who has done this? Any advice? Thanks in advance guys!! I have a 2007 Ram 2500......

no real performance increase, mine ran away a few months back.

My opinion on the cat & performance is that it helps the motor breath easier on the top end. you may loose a little low end torque but going thru the stock muffler but it may be minimal. if you go to a straight thru setup you will loose low end & some fuel economy.

I removed my cat and stock muffler for a straight pipe setup with an aero turbine where the cat was. I'm in Indiana there are no emissions testing. One thing to keep in mind is it is federal offence to remove a catalytic convertor.

What I am sensing here is their are differen't emissions rules for Diesels (over Gas). I live in Communist California (yes we have a red star and a bear on our state flag) so will have to check my states emissions laws.

ahahahaha... I call them the smog ****'s (cali politicians who approve the laws here) I hate it here and cant wait to leave.

Where are you looking to me to?

Me, I think I will hang out for a couple more years, then move next to my Uncle in Vanc WA. Maybe go work for HP or something.

outside of the portland area... most likely in about 3 years. been in the Sacramento area for almost 10 and have watched it grow significantly. too much growth and no infrastructure updates. stuipd city planners.

Yah that is for damn sure. All over the Bay Area too. The politicians have no trouble allowing zoning for throwing up POS houses and town homes to make a quick buck. But do they also update our 1960's road system...Hell no that would cost money....
