Default Flares

Well my new flares showed today as well as my G.D. mud flaps [:@] Now all I have to do is build some brackets and install the flares tomorrow night I will send pics of the flares as soon as I install them.

hehehe All these jabs are making my ribs hurt I got the mud flaps after my second ticket for not having them. Its hard to find a nice looking set of mud flaps to I tell ya! [8D]

how far in do they (tires) have to be before you stop getting tickets? here in CA IIRC (10 years back) the tire had to be covered down to the middle of the rim.

Would you prefer if I aim lower.

Washington DOT say's that mudflaps must extend to the axle center line.

No higher than 8" and as have to cover the entire tread pattern, and to think Iam from Colorado where they sand the streets all year and no mud flap law...move to the driest state in the country and get 2 tickets for no mud flaps.

in NYS the tire cant stick out past 1.5" from the body.

Not many cops know this but if a rock slings up and cracks someones windshield they would find it real quick

what flares did you go with?

When i was on the sheriff's office, we used the flares with the wire bases and the spikes in the end. Why would you want to put them ON your pickup, they would burn the heck out of your paint and tires. Sheesh, some people :-) :-)

notice the smiley faces. just being a smart a$$.
