amsoils kit is only $176 IIRC, it's the cap that the expensive piece. I thought that it was way over priced at $50 until I had it in my hand... then it made sense

Steve,

Being you have put a ATS Arc Flow intake on your truck is there room just in front of it to mount your by pass system. I know on my 06 there's room to install one with a stock intake on the engine if you made a bracket to hold it thou I'm not sure if your 05 has the same space with your new intake.

Ok this is not my original ideal to locate it there. I cheated [sm=devilangel.gif] I saw a photo of one installed in this location this is why I say to look just in front of the intake.

the hose included in the kit is no where near long enough to reach that area, and instructions mention not to mount it to the motor. my original thought was to mount it behind the right front tire on the outside of the frame rail. that is one of the suggested sites from amsoil. If I go there, I will for sure need more hose as the return line will be on the oil fill cap.

on top of the main oil filter there are two plugs, just remove one and you have pressure from the filter.
