I just ordered a laptop mount for my truck by RAM laptop mounts. Does anyone have this mount? Any pics if they do. Does it affect the passengers room any?
Thanks in advanced

Well on my laptop I have a GPS unit. It is better to use a 13 screen rather than a small screen while driving. It gives me turn by turn directions. I have a wireless internet card through my company so while sitting in houston rush hour traffic at a stand still, I can idle up the truck to get the air a blowing and check my emails, or just browse the internet. It is much safer than the laptop just sitting on my counsel because if i stop i dont have to worry about it falling or something. The system i have is capable of holding a printer and everything so I can just have a little office in my truck :-). I paid 250 for mine, I sure hope it is a lot different than the 30 dollar one you got on eBay. With this one it attaches to my passenger seat bracket and it is quick release so I can pull a pin and take it out. My laptop is also small enough to fit in the storage compartment under my middle seat so i can just drop it in there. The website for the mount is Ram Mounts

You can get a software bundle for a laptop or PDA. It comes with DVD/CD Map software and a Cardbus GPS antenna (for a laptop) or a SDIO like card for a PDA. They usually run from 120+ for the complete set.

I'm guessing there's a monthly fee for the wireless internet access though huh?

MrSlug is right on the dot about the GPS. You just install the software and it downlods maps. Then you plug in the GPS antenna and away you go. I have to order a new one because my old one was in my truck during out accident and just the attena got wet i guess. The internet is not needed for the GPS service but for wireless internet there is a monthly fee. My company pays the fee, and they also gave me the sprint wireless card, not verizon. There is no sprint unless you are downtown somewhere. You can get on the internet anywhere there is sprint, verizon, cingular(depending on provider) service.

Just go to bestbuy and get This. It is 60 bucks, regular 90, and a whole lotbetter deal than i got. It is much cheaper than a regular GPS, and easier to use. You can set the route and your off. If you take a wrong turn then it will reroute you and get you back on track. The nice lady will talk to you and say "turn left in 2 miles" or "Exit 2b in 2 miles". Very nice :-)
