Pics for all that have asked.
The first one is for you Mayfair. . .I'm thinking about running some pre-lit garland down my bed rails and lighting up my nerf bars red to make my truck look like a sleigh
the next shows the location of where I tapped into the intake for my boost gage. I just removed the stock bolt and put the one shown in place. this is one of three places the boost bolt can go, for me this was the easiest spot.
the last shows the location of my pyrometer just behind where #3 dumps out. I know putting the gage where #5,6 go in would show higher temps since they are the hottest cylinders. Getting my drill back there would have been a pain though.

Ahhh. Thanks much Drew. Now I know where to tap into the manifold for the EGT probie for the Attitude dealie. Now I need to order a good quality combo gauge (EGT and Boost) and maybe a fuel pres gauge and I am set.
Thanks again for the pics.

Hey Drew,
When you drilled for the pyro, did you leave the engine running (to blow the crap back out) or did you actually remove the turbo.
Have seen folks say they've done it 90 different ways........... Just use a ton of grease, leave the engine running, remove the manifold, etc.
Obviously removing the stuff is safest, but how necessary? Metal + turbo = $$$$

That's awesome !! How did you light it?
I just saw a guy with a wreath this morning and it got me to thinking about putting one on. Now that I see your wreath set up, I really want to put one on.
I have a power inverter and a 15 foot extension cord running to the wreath
Rich, I did it when the engine was cold. used some thick grease and cleaned the bit and the tap often. after install I did hear a a little metal hitting the turbo but it wasnt enough to hurt it since the turbo was cold and not spinning very fast.
anti-sease is also needed on the pyro

Anti-(cease(sease)(seizure))?
Is that like anti-loctite?
Let me make sure I have this EGT probe install correct...(some of this stolen from Edge install manual)
1)Find the place on the exhaust manifold to drill (on cold motor)
2) Make a small pilot hole with an 1/8" drill bit coated in grease (wiping the metal shavings off often)
3) Make a large hole using a 21/64" drill bit (more grease, more wiping)
4) Tap the hole with 1/8" National Pipe Tap (grease, wipe, etc), Do not tap too far.
5) Start motor to blow shavings out (? not sure if I should do this here or after the EGT is installed)
6) Coat EGT probe threads with Anti-sease (? any brand in particular?)
7) Install EGT probe making sure the probe does not contact the other side of the Manifold (meaning don't tap too far).
8) Connect up Probe wires to you pyro wires on the gauge.

If your careful you can drill and tap with the engine off, If your scared a bit, do it while it is running, the exhuast should keep and fillings from falling into the manifold. As for antiseize any will do, all the same just different name on the bottle

DAMN !!!
My heads been spinning all day with this idea.
THANKS !!

How did you run the extension cord to the inverter? Is the inverter inside of the cab?
