Proper Nomenclature
OK, I have a problem with proper nomenclature. A Colt 1911 pistol uses a magazine, a Dodge 3500 4x4 is a pickup and a Peterbuilt is a truck. What do you call your Dodge vehicles with open air rear storage compartments.
at the moment.... mine's called a Sleigh. The open air compartment is actually a large
bag of goodies to be bought to my child....... according to her
for the rest of the year.... it's a truck.

My Dodge is a Truck or pickup, seems interchangeable to me. Although pickup makes me think of what I call a "Trainer Truck." That would be any truck smaller than a 1/2 ton (and even those are border-line).
Peterbilt = Road Tractor
i.e. Tractor Trailer
Or Big Rig, whatever floats yer boat.

When I think pickup, I think more along the lines of something cute, like a 'yota, or more aptly named, a pick-em-up truck.
Truck baby!
The big boys are just, well, bigger trucks.
