To get to the bottom of you bottom and hip hurting issue, here are a couple of ideas:

1) Take the Truck back to the dealer and show them the bars and ask them if there is a possibility there is a problem with the seat.

2) Under some of the plastic clips holding the material of the seat down and check it out for yourself. You might be able to get some foam in there to help your aching butt. If you check out the Merry Xmas thread you will find the complete DC manual for your truck (very useful!)

3) Take the vehicle to an apholstry shop and have them quote you for installing new foam.
