I can't tell ya if the trucks are that sophisticated for that year. There's a manual you can download on this site. Last I knew your pads would have "squealer" on them to indicated the pads need to be changed. It's a bent piece of metal that makes a squealing noise against the the rotor when the pads have worn down. There would be one indicator per wheel.

Good luck.

Disconnect that single wire for the pressure differential switch and see if the light goes out. I am not that familiar with the newer trucks. I don't know if you have to restet the code.

Good luck with your ride.

i cant find that wire......is it on the abs module????
another question, if i bleed the back lines with a (vacum) machine......will that guarantee that i will have equal pressures on both lines? some book said my problem was uneven preasures on my rear lines

thanks

You can try bleeding, but I am pretty sure you said you had adequate brakes. Any chance you slammed the brakes on extremely hard, and the switch is stuck? I'm sure it's internal with all the rest of the valves. I will look at your 2001 manual that is available on this site.

Be back later.

Dude, download the 2001 manual from this site. It has to be similar to yours. It is section 5 page 10&11 that describe the switch, and show where the wire is located. I cannot copy a page from my PDF and attach it here. I don't know why.

Let us know how you make out.

Good luck with your ride.
