Default HEADERS???

Thinking back on all of the engine builds and mods I've done to my other rides, and being relatively new to the diesel world, (worked on the old trucks in the military) I was wondering what is the reason that there are not more companies making headers for performance,
and if not full blown headers than what about ceeramic coating the existing manifold the help with flow and increase power.
Do you guys think that there would be a significant increase in the EGT's?
Just wondering while at work today, (yes my job is that boring).

Paul

you could go with the ats diesel exhaust manifolds... not sure what the benifits are other than it's a 2 piece design...

That looks like a good design, I wonder how mmuch of a flow increase there is We all know that the more air we flow into the engine the more fuel/power there will be, but at some point the stock manifold will become the restriction.

I think the only benifit comes when you have twins on there... i'm no expert but I think the stock manifold works fine for a single turbo...

Probably right on target Steve, the stocker will be sufficient for a single turbo.
Man, twin turbo's, I bet that will put a big dumb grin on your face.[sm=gears.gif]Paul

The ats manifold is supposed to help spool the turbo quicker. If i were upgrading the turbo, I would swap to that manifold at the same time.
