How do you drain the oil out of an NV5600 6 spped? I found the hex plug that is the filler/level check but can't figure out how to drain the oil. There are 2 acess plates, one on each side of the tranny, but there is a big warning sticker one each one about incorrect end play and shim will ruin the tranny. If I take one of these plates off will it drain the oil? and will I need to adjust something?

Appears to be on the drivers side.
Holds appx. 4.5 liters.

you can use the bottom PTO bolt on either side to drain the oil.

I used the top PTO bolt to fill the trany with 5 quarts of amsoil 5-30

 

Drew, Are you saying use 5-30WT motor oil?

 

I put in the Amsoil synchromesh 5W-30. We'll see how that works.
