Default Aero Turbine Question

Need some advice from you Aero Turbine owners...........I've seen a 4040 version, a 4040XL version as well as a 4040L version that I've seen at a couple online shops. Other than the resonator designwith the XL can anyone tell me if there are other differences? I'm not looking for a "stock" sound, I'm looking for the meanest sound a person can get from Aero Turbine for my '06. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep the cat in place if possible.

I added the 4040xl first, and then a couple months later, I removed the cat. The sound to me was great with the cat,, and its awesome without the cat. Removing the cat and the silencer ring were the coolest mods I did as far as things that ppl would notice. Doing these two things definately turns heads when I come down the road. But, the sound of the aero with the cat is definately good.

I'm running the 4040XL with a cat and it sounds great. But not as loud as I would like.

So I will be removing my cat soon

Colorado is a bit stringent when it comes to emissions so it would be a risk for me to eliminate the cat. Any move to eliminate the stock muffler is a plus so a person really can't go wrong just as long as you can avoid the in-cab drone that I hear of so often. Hell, if Rusty Wallace likes the product than I guess every man in America should love the product, right? Appreciate the advice!
