Leak ?
ORIGINAL: Dodge This
Well the dealer replaced the pinon seal on the front axle. It took awhile because they could not find the p/n stamped on the axle. All should be good now.

What I mean is replacing the pinion seal is not as easy as just loosening up the pinion nut, pulling the yoke and driving a new seal.
To do it right, he needs to check the break away torque on the pinion nut when he removes it, do the above steps, and repattern the gears.
On most solid axle trucks, just pulling the yoke and replacing the seal is okay because the front axle is generally not turning all the time, but because the front axle on the Dodge's are alway turning, it needs to be patterned or you will put a huritng on those gears.
Might want to make sure they did it right.
