Default Throttle Position Sensor

I have a 99 Dodge 3500 Cummins diesel truck. I have had 3 TPS sensors installed in the last 6 months. The dealership claims that there is no code that is popping so therefore there is nothing wrong with the truck. But after fighting with the dealership they replace the TPS and it fixes the problem but only for a short amount of time. Per the dealership the TECH line states the fuel lift pump needs to be relocated to the fuel tank. A cost of $1000.00. They state that it is causing radio frequency interference, or (RFI). When asked if this will cure the problem they will not guarantee it. It could also be the altenator the air cond pump or the power steering pump, or none of these. They have not answers as to why this is going on. On the last trip to the dealership they downloaded a new program in to the computer, and now the truck does not have enough power to pull my boat up a hill. The service manager stated to me that this is how the truck is supposed to run, I guess all of those towing mile and regular mile I have put on the truck account for nothing, as the truck has never had a lack of power. He stated to me that there is nothing they can do about that either. So I can either spend $1000.00 per item to be replaced on the front of the engine, live with the lack of power or sell the truck. None of which will solve the problem. The fuel economy has dropped 45%. That is a lot at $3.29 a gallon for diesel. Even at the cost of replacing everything on the front of the engine, there is no guarantee the problem will be solved. Most of those parts have been replaced anyway.

Has anyone else had these problems??? Have they be resolved?? If so how??? I love my truck and it has many more miles left in the engine. I just can not make it run with the electronics. As Chrysler says, "IF THERE IS NO CODE THEN THERE IS NO PROBLEM". I find this unaccepable. They built the truck, but can not seem to repair it!!!! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks:
Bill Gleason

Take it back to dodge, have them reprogram the computer back to where it was. call cummins atlantic in columbia S.C. These guys dont seem to mind talking from my experience with my 2000ctd. I had to replace my pump last week in my 04 ,Dodge put it in the tank, My 04 is still under warranty. The pump just quit and left me on the road. Their having trouble or they wouldnt go to the tank.
