Default How's this for customer (dis)service?

So....most of you know the LONG list of issues I've had with this truck. I almost traded it yesterday.......almost, I jsut couldn't bring myself to eat the loss I would get trading in a 6 month old truck.

I go out this morning, and as usual, I get a check engine light. I go to the dealer. I'm there about 2 hours and the tech calls me into the office; he's on the phone withSTAR customer service.

After explaining the long list of previous issues, the current issues, and the fact that I was about to send the final notice (for this issue anyways. I already sent one for the engine / tranny previously), here is the answer I get from the "oh-so-knowledgeable" STAR service rep.............."Well, I guess he'll jsut have to deal with the CEL."

WOW! I grab the phone from the tech, tell Mrs Genius to give me her name, number, and supervisors contact info along with a fax stating that is the companies offical answer. Promptly got a "click".

But, the tech was actually on his game and already had her name. Kudos to him.

Sooooo, out goes another letter to DC for a final fix or repurchase / replacement.

Joy!

dood, that is just WRONG!!! I'm amazed you havent gotten the BBB an ear full of this.

I can understand takeing it in the first time due to the tick you had. . .it seemed everything after that has just made things worse and worse.

Brother, I've had the BBB (worthless) in this, the GA State Office of Consumer Affairs (semi-helpful), the GA State Attorney General's Office (just as a cc in most of this as they only get involved if it actually has to go to court)

The reason say the BBB is worthless is this: 1 - the dealership is a member of the BBB and as long as they "respond" to an issue, the BBB considers it to have taken favorable action, and 2 - DC does not participate in the BBB infomal resolution process, they are one of the few that do not.

Believe me, I'm fixin' to stick it to DC now, as I now have the dealership on my side. Even they are calling BS on this.

At this point, I do not want anybody from DC touching any part of my truck, unless it's handing me keys to a brand new one.

They wanted to keep it over night to "try a few things". I said, "What? Like cutting the wire to the CEL?" No thanks, I'll go the official route.

man, I used to love that show as a kid,,,,, geez, that makes me feel old. But yeah,, Mr T. is lookin a bit rough these days. Speaking of rough aging,,, has anyone noticed pictures of our current president from when he was first elected and compared to now. He looks a little stressed, with a few more lines around his eyes and forehead,,,, I wonder why...............
