Default About to buy a 2500 CTD, help needed

Hello Everyone, this is my first post here.

I just went to a dealer today to buy a new dodge ram 2500 diesel.

They had couple in stock.

They had one gray 2006 Ram 2500 ST Cummins Diesel Automatic 4x4. After negotiating, they come down to $29,900 plus taxes and tags. The sticker price is around$40000.

Is it possible to get one for the same price but SLT?

Do you think they might come down on the price more?

Any one out there got a better price?

Thanks for the help guys..

Here in Texas many dealers have a glut of 2006 CTD QC 4x4's. They are offering $11 off sticker. I got mine (2006 2500 CTD 4x4 QC Sport) for $11K off sticker in early November.

IMO, your best bet is to buy a late-model used truck. Let someone else pay the first two years of depreciation, you'll get more truck for the same money.

Got mine from eBay.

thats not a bad price for an ST, however I would see if you could find an SLT for the same price

I picked up a 2006 SLT 4x4 on friday for 29,100 + Tax, Tag, and Title off the lotin Orlando FL.

It was a standard cab long bed with the following additional factory options: limited slip, 40/20/40 power seat, auto, sliding rear window, tow group, protection group, light group, leather wrapped wheel, mineral gray, 2UG. And dealer installed (by default) plastic bed liner, tinted windows, reciever and ball hitch, reciever lock, spare-tire lock.

Sticker was 39,470 + 2,000 (for the dealer installed stuff) + 800 (dealer fees?)

hope it helps,
-darrel

Thanks for the help.

I am now looking into 3500 drw 4x4 auto

So if the sticker is around 43,000, is it possible to negotiate it down to $30,000?

Thanks for all the help

welcome to df... I say you find what you want, then stay there until they give it to you for what you want. have your financing all setup prior to going in there and have all your bases covered...
