New to this forum, have joined many andmaybe somebody can help me with my problem, i have an 02 2500 QC Diesel. My problem is the Trans., woke up 1 mourning and it decided to stop shifting, well thats sort of right sometimes it shifts thru and sometimes it doesn't . I've been told so many things that it could be, that i'm lost, if anyone has an idea it would really be appreciated. (THANKS)

Has the tranny been serviced? If your short tripping alot you should service more regular than normal. cold weather driving especially.These conditions will cause gumming in the tranny from my experience.

could be a bad ground from the batteries, or the wireing harness is shorting out on a hanger. both are possable solutions to thenot so uncommonproblem you are having
