Default 4X4 question

ok guys time for a Dumb question. I'm new to the 4 wheel drive seen. all i've had is 2x4s till now. now is it just me not knowing or when my truck (check sig) is in 4 high or low and you turn the wheel either almost at lock the steering starts to shudder like the wheels want to straighten out. is this a problem is it the axels not wanting to go that far.?

Thanks

It's normal.
You have the rear wheels wanting to push forward, and the front wheels wanting to push sideways. You basically wind up with the truck fighting itself. Try not to cut the wheel so hard and you should be fine. Also, don't drive in 4wd on dry pavement / street as it can hurt your 4wd. Stick to either dirt or snow.

ok cool thought i was going alittle nuts at first considering the truck is 2 weeks old.

Mayfair was in snow. was up in lake tahoe over new years when it was happening. however there were dry patches on the road where it seemed to happen.

Sharx--- maybe not a locker a but a suretrax or LSD in the front and locker in the rear might be upgrades i'll do.[sm=ts.gif]

Just a heads up, any LSD in the front changes things in the feel....it takes some getting used to

My Eaton E-Locker is due in today ..... part #19522-010 Fits the front 9.25 AAM with slight mods. (EATON has install details)

No more sliding backwards down hill with one front wheel and one rear wheel spinning on the ice on one side while the other side is on dry pavement! (I have Trac-Rite in the rear which is useless on ice)
