Default boost line valve

A buddy of mine was telling me that if i put a certain type ofbrass fittingin the boost line it would make my boost higher than stock. Can anybody confirm this or tell me what type offitting to put in it.

Thanx for the reply i checked them out and the second one specifically said not for 2001-2002 automatics. The first one looked like the exact same piece but with a mounting bracket. Can anybody tell me what turbo i have on my truck i think it's the hx35 but i'm not sure.

will this elbow hurt the turbo or anything? i know the ebay guy sais no but who knows with those people. id rather hear it from one of you guys. is this really a wise investment? and in getting this elbow you should get a boost guage im guuessing too?

a boost gage is a must with this. will it hurt the turbo. . .it can and will if you crank it up too high, however, keep it below about 40psi and you'll be ok.

I read some of the other forums that talked about the boost and turbos and they said that stock turbos can hold up to about 45psi but most of them said they run theirs at between 32 and 40.

45 psi before the compressor wheel blows apart, the waste gate opens at 26#, however on the electronic trucks 04.5 and up you can delay this to what ever you want, right now mine opens at 35# with my TST.

so even if you get this elbow and say like me have an 03...ull still only get 26 lbs of boost because of the waste gate???
