crazy, I really haven't noticed alot of improvement in the mileage with the LSD and colder temps(7 deg.right now) It does "knock" a little when first starting but that's about it. Filled up yesterday and hand calc. 17.4 I think.

you need to hand calculate your mileage... mines off 3.5~4.0 mpg

Is your truck speedometer in miles or KM?

Here are some equivilents to help you make sure that you are working with the same numbers as your neighbors here to the south.

1 US mile = 1.609 km.
1 km = .621 miles

1 US gal. = 3.785 L
1 L = .264 US gal.

Miles/km divided by us gal/ liters = miles per gal/liters per km

Hope this helps! I am a newbie to df and in the process of looking for a 03 or newer 3500 Quad cab 4 X 4 LB SRW CTD that fits my budget. I have been through your area and it is quite beutiful! My wife and I are looking to move to Northern B.C. this year to work at a camp and have spent several summers up in the Houston Smithers area. I am learning so much from this sight! Wow what a resource! It has really helped me to know what to look for!

You didnt state if you had 4.10 gears or not. That will definately have an effect on you mileage. I have 20000 miles on mine and I average only 15 mpg overall. I have 4.10s . I did just switch to synthetic though so hopefully it will improve just a tad. Plus the dealer has been backordered on fuel filters so I havent gotten to change mine yet. Maybe I will get a little more then. Good luck.

Go to cummins or a parts store, they will probably be a lot cheaper IMHO
