SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR TRUCK.EVERYONE IS OK SHEET METAL CAN BE REPLACED. GOOD LUCK WITH THE INS CO. I OWN ABODY SHOP ONE THING THEY CAN NOT TELL YOU WHERE TO GET YOUR TRUCK FIXED! IT IS YOUR DECISION WHERE TO GET IT FIXED. THEY WILL TRY TO TELL YOU TO TAKE IT TO ONE OF THEIR "PREFEREDSHOPS".THESE SHOPS HAVE MADE AGREEMENTS ON LABOR RATES AND PARTS PRICES AND SOMETIMES QUALITY SUFFERS. SORRY ABOUT THE SOAPBOX , I DONT WANT TO SEE AFELLOW DODGE OWNER GET HURT.

I hope you didn't catch too much flack from the home front.

Ok talked to state farm and my agent was realy cool about it and asked where i would like to take it. I told her about Kimbals, one of the best body shops in town (i used to drive tow truck i know where the good body shops are!) and she had no problem with that, so i took it down there and the assesor was realy cool got estimate and all wraped up in about an hour,($3700) and when itold the assesor that i didnt have rental car insurance and he told me could get me one of there parts cars to drive while the truck is being fixed (about 7-8 working days) pretty cool so seems to be workin out good. or as good as i could expect. I will keep you updated.

later

right on. it's nice when your insurance cmpany steps up to the plate for you and makes it a painless affair. i mean they should we pay them every month but there are a lot of horror stories where you can't get the insurnace company to do a dang thing.

I use Allstate and so far, so good. No complaints with them but yeah, I've heard some REAL doozies !!

Problem here in Philly is that probably 40% ( probably more ) of the drivers on the road are either under insured or don't bother to carry insurance at all. REALLY sucks if you get whacked by one of THOSE guy's. Unless you carry underinsured coverage, you're SCREWED!!

I swear it should be leagl to beat someone to a pulp for driving without coverage !! [:@]

Mayfair, can you get AAA insurance there? I have had excellent results with AAA. I hear a lot of BAD STUFF about Allstate here in Calif. In California there are a HUGE number of Illigals driving with no insurance and no license, it is a MUST to carry uninsured Mot. coverage.

I had AAA before, but they had a couple of big rate hikes believe it or not Allstate beat their price. I needed to use AAA before for a claim and I don't remember having any big problems with them. They seemed OK as best as I can remember.

Yeah, that un- and under-insured REALLY ticks me off. I wish the coppers would do a better job of cracking down on them. I could care less about people doing drugs, they don't bother me a bit. It's the un-insured that EFF me up !!![:@]
