Default super chip slipping clutch

Ive had my six speed dually for five months now and put the super chip in it two weeks after I got the truck. When I rap it over 2 grand especially in 5th and 6th it feels like its burning the clutch. Rpms go up but I dont go any where(doesnt speed up). It only does this on the performance setting. Is this common? What would hold up to the power its suppose to be putting out? Thinking anout south bend. And would it be bad to get a cluth that can handle alot more hp/tq then the truck puts out? Heard it might shake the truck a little bit taking off(chatter). comments?

Sure sounds like your slipping. That's not good.....lol. A few of my buddies have South Bend clutches for their muscle cars. I think they are actually double disc as well. Never heard either one of them mention chatter. Nor any complaints for that matter. I am quite sure they also replaced their flywheels at the same time they replaced their clutches.

Good luck with your ride.
