2001 AUTO TRANS. I REPLACED THE APPS & NO LUCK.
I AM GETING P PCU P 1693 & P ECU P 0216 CODES.
I HAVE NO CLUE.

P0216 = Injection timing failure. The VP44 injection pump is dying. Time to call up one of the Bosch Rebuilders (Industrial Injection and Blue Chip Diesel seem to be the most popular) and order a pump, its anywhere from $1,000 - $1,800 depending on what you want and who you buy from. if you're a bit mechanically inclined and have some basic tools there are plenty of instrucitons out there and it shouldn't take more than a Saturday to do the job. I'd suggest an upgrade to your lift pump system as well, if you've still got the original lift pump it's probably dead, and if you got a factory replacement you've got the in-tank jobber and most people aren't sure it feeds enough fuel to the VP. Of course, if you happen to be under warranty then taking it to the dealer will cure the problem as well.
