Default Aero owners please read

I have done the muffler delete to my truck, but would like it to be louder and sound deeper. If I was to put the 4040xl in place of the CAT is it going to be any louder, and how much. Or should I just do the 4040. Surely someone has done this step by step and not just all at once. Thanks Adam

I first replaced the factory muffler with the 4040xl,, it got a little louder, but not bad. I dropped the cat a couple months ago,,, NOW YOU CAN HEAR IT. It reallys sounds a AWESOME!!

put a 4040 where the cat was... you want loud, that will get you there and in my opinion, keep the most low end torque...

I don't want crazy loud I would just like it louder that it is now with the muffler gone and the cat still in place. So I would like it to be a little louder and would like it to sound better that it does now with just the cat. I afraid that if I put on the 4040 it will be to loud and with the 4040xl in place of the cat it will get quieter. I would think that someone would have done the muffler delete before they did the cat like I have and then did the 4040xl or 4040 and be able to tell me the differences?

well, sorry, cant help there. I did the mag/cat mod, then added the aero. the aero/mag was quiet compared to the no cat w/mag setup. the only way your really gonna know is to do it one way or the other...
