read some info that the 2-stoke oil will smooth out the motor much like the brew does so I thought I'd give it a shot... well, found out that it definately quiets the motor down, definately does not rattle as much. since I just put it in, I only have 6 miles on it but it is definately noticeable. I will post more later after I get some miles under it...

on 1st impression... I compare this to the 1/2 tank of #2 mixed with b20 biodiesel... both smoothed the motor out quite a bit...

How much 2 stroke oil per how many gallons of fuel? Can you post a link to the article? Thanks.

RE: tried 2 stroke in the fuel...
it was on another forum... they were running 16 to 32 oz per tank. the thread initiator started with 1 quart and has worked his way back to 16 oz IIRC... I wanted to see the full effect of 32 oz. runs like biodiesel to me...

nope, no new updates on the oil bypass... did you see the post I put up when I got back? I took out an oil sample to show and its still black (that wont change either because of the soot particles being smaller than what the filter can screen out).

will any old 2 stroke oil do or are they using good stuff. it might work but if you are having to use premium oil like bel-ray or something the cost might not be worth the benefits.

I don't really think such small amounts would hurt anything. You are adding lubricity, and that's good. I was trying to find some articles about it. I just filled on the way home. A little over fourty gallons,........I'd would not hesitate to add 2 full quarts.

I may just try it on my baby.....lol.

Good luck with ALL our rides.

RE: tried 2 stroke in the fuel...
no bad effects. YOu have to make sure you get ashless 2 stroke oil. NO SYNTHETICS.

16 ounces of the walmart 2 stroke oil is $1.30.

I started this as well on thursday.
I didnt get a chance to report my findings yet but so far right off the bat I noticed the same as Steve.
I think I will get a slight MPG increase.
now this is with 18 gallons winter fuel 24 ounces of PS (white bottle which hurt my MPG to begin with) and 16 ounces of 2 stroke oil.
