Default Time for Upgrades

Ok, I bought a new 2006 Dodge Ram QC 4x4 CTD Sport in November. Now I have about $2K to spend for upgrades. What would you guys do with that $2K to get the most bang for the buck?

tst powermax CR, afe stage 2 intake kit, ats intake manifold, ditch the cat & swap the stock muffler for a magnaflow, if you have change left over, put an aero 4040 in where the cat used to be.

you will not be disappointed...

the TST is a plug in module. the bully dog is a downloader that actualy replaces the ECM programming.

if there is ever an issue with the truck and for some reason it dies on the freeway it is easier to pull the TST than the bully dog. Also the TST will monitor EGT's and boost pressure and defuel if things get too hot or the boost gets too high, plus it's more easily upgradeable, add a new turbo, VB, TC, fuel pump and you can use higher settings without worring about dammageing something.

The TST box is a tweakers box since you can dial in the numbers that give your particular truck the best performance. The BDTD is a download and go system and much easier in that respect if you dont like to tweak numbers.

the other nice thing about the TST is you can swap in a wiring harness if the box is suspected to have a problem... once it's installed, you've eliminated the TST from the motor.

So alot of youuse the TST and not the BDTD. Hmmmmm.....Thats making me think just a little here, b/c Im about to make a purchase of the BDTD system, but if the TST is better then it would be common sense. Are there any other advantages to having the TST vs the BDTD. And I understand that it monitors the Boost and EGT's but those are monitored by the computer. I was actually going to get a boost gauge and EGT gauge put in. So besides that is there anything else?

I think Steve, Triton and I are the only ones running TST, I could be mistaken and left someone off but thats all I recall.

the controller for the TST can be a bit hard to see depending on where you have it if you want to see what your current boost and EGT's are. installing another boost and EGT gage would be a good thing so you can set the TST to limit at certian temps and pressures, but watch the gages.

as far as that intake, I dunno,
