Zach, one reason for that price is that the 12valve engine in that truck is virtualy indestructable, this is one of the reasons for the price. the 4 years newer truck if it is a diesel will have the VP44 injector pump. . .a rather unreliable pump if not looked after. if that year had the same P7100 injector pump the 95 has the price would reflect.

No, that is just a fuel injector.

The VP44 is the high pressure fuel pum that actually supplies the fuel to the injectors. It's what pushed the fuel up into that umpteen thousand PSI range. Very pricey if it goes out.

The lift pump is like the fuel pump in a gas engine. The lift pump supplies the injection pump.
