I think Im going to try dual
I did the 4040 in place of the cat and there is a drone only when on the gas and at about 80 mph only. I am getting pretty used to it but I would like to see the outcome of duel aero's god ram it esp with a xl behind the 4040.
I looked this morning and I guess I do have just the 4040 and not the 4040xl. So I will be running dual 4040 Aeros.
I ordered the aero from Verocious again. they still had the $50 coupon. I also ordered 3 tortite clamps.
I'll have to get some 4" pipe sometime. so I guess we'll see how it turns out.
I also have a 6" tip I have to install.
My wife is going to kill me.
So if Im not on here for over a week than send the police to my house with the search dogs. they'll have to look for a newly dug hole.

i have faith in you mayfair. i think as soon as i get the spare $$ i will spend it on the 4040. i called the guys at aero and verocious the other day just to talk. i think im going to buy a couple reducers and some straight pipe from verocious just incase things dont fit as they should, i can just cut and weld.
theres talk in both directions up and down. but how was your fuel mileage affected with the aero install? ...anyone can chime in on that

Here is a better idea. Take a sawzall and cut a 4" round hole in your hood on the passenger side. The remove the pipe from after the turbo all the back and discard. Get a 3 foot, 4" piece of pipe bent at 90 degress and attach the short end to the turbo and route the rest of the pipe through the 4" hole you cut in your hood. Or you can be a real redneck and just use black plastic sewer pipe from Home Depot. That should be loud enough.
Yeah, my mileage if it increased at all was only about .5 mpg. The proof was in the power though. Night and day !!
Just make sure you install it correctly *cough* ram it *cough*
