Speaking of ...

You guy's talk all the time about blowing soot / smoke / black cloud of death, whatever when you mash the pedal. I've yet to see any of this from my own truck. Is it because I don't have any of those tuner boxes on my truck?
YUP!!!

How come Diesel Demon( nicknamed "St.Soot") doesn't have a tuner box and he's able to dump out the soot.

Mayfair, to put what drew said in english. DD has mechanically done what the tuners do. DUMP MORE FUEL IN. HIs truck doesn't have all the fancy electronic stuff yours does.

I ran the Bully Dog on my 97. Turbo back. 4" no cat. Sweet!

It's making me want to gut my CAT now on the 2006 as the CAT kills the turbo sound.

Sure they do....http://www.rpmoutlet.com/diadodge.htm
They've got 4" or 5" in aluminized or stainless. Best price I've found so far.

If you want a loud exhaust you minimize the size of the muffler/resonator, thats one of the reasonswhy glasspacks are so loud. Straight pipes would be ideal if you can pass inspection with them.

Not sure loud is what I want. I like the big rig sound. I'm running without the cat now and have had no problems with inspections. As a matter of fact, I've ran without the muffler and cat before and had no problems with inspections. I re-installed the muffler for some reason but I haven't noticed any change in performance or loudness so........since my exhaust has been hacked up and spliced together, I think it's time for a new 5" exhaust with no cat or muffler.
