Default Recommend some rude aftermarket exhaust

Hi Gang:

I need help picking some aftermarket exhaust. There are so many options out there....

I have a stock 2500 and the old exhaust has rusted apart so now it's time to replace it.

Year: 2000
Model: 2500 Diesel
Single Cab extended bed (if that matters)
Dirty rims

I like to wake my neighbors up when I leave for work and setting off car alarms is fun too.
I do drive my truck 60 miles per day so I'd like to stay close to my MPG.

Can anyone recommend some good exhaust that fits my needs?

Thanks!

Lets see rude huh? Well I am sure you if paid someone enough you can get an exhaust tip in the shape of a **** with *****.

If you want loud. Just go with a straight pipe from Geno's garage with NO muffler and NO cat. BOOM.

keep the exhaustdiameter and swap in an aero turbine muffler... that should get you close to what you want

welcome to DF...

Exhaust tip that looks like a **** with ***** -- haha -- that's hilarious.

Straight pipes -- I should have mentioned that it'll need to pass Pa inspection.

Thanks!

I did a search for what others had to say about the Aero in the DF forums and the comments seemed positive.

I am placing an order for the 4040 off the aero website.

what is involved with the Pa inspection. . .if not too much straight pipe that bad boy with dual 6" stacks, or 4" duals from the rear.

Depending on when you are getting it, I ordered the elimiation kit from Geno's Garage and I should hopefully have it by next weekend. I also ordered an aero 4040xl.

I started a post about it a couple days ago, but I am planing on running a couple tests. I am going to get sound clips of stock, straight piped and with the aero. Going to get in cab noise and outside noise levels. I am also going to run some milage tests and really pay attention to the low end.

So, hopefully by next Sunday you will be able to hear what a 4" straight through exhaust sounds like.

Diesels are emissions exempt come inspection time here in PA. As far as I know, you can go as buck wild as you want.

Speaking of ...

You guy's talk all the time about blowing soot / smoke / black cloud of death, whatever when you mash the pedal. I've yet to see any of this from my own truck. Is it because I don't have any of those tuner boxes on my truck?
