Default power windows

sometimes someone in my passangers seat will go to open the window and it wont open. so i used the drivers side and it works fine and then the passanger is able to use it at their will. its almost like it gets stuck and then when i use the drivers side its freed up. ive tried it both ways with the window lock on and off. any ideas? bad window motor?

thanks

You know, mine kinda acted that way too, but my passenger side always worked, and driver was only after it went down a little. Going up was always fine. Now the driver can't get it to go down at all, so I know the switch is bad (still goes up fine, but have to roll it down with the pass. side). Does the motor sound like it is trying to work from the pass. switch? Have you tried a volt-meter on it?
To me, the motor sounds fine, it's just not getting the power from the switch.

A quick way to see if it is the switch is to take the one out of the rear door and switch it with the one you are having a problem with. I have had these switches do the same thing if someone spills pop down them or if you leave the window open while you get caught in the rain etc. You can also have a bad connection or dirty one if moisture has gotten in there. First thing I would do is pull the switch out, clean the contacts, spray with wd40, and try it . Wd 40 will dry it out if there is moisture in there. Good luck, Greg.
