Default how bad?

how bad is it to drive around with no exhaust. basically cut the muffler off and take the tail pipe right off? im thinkin about doin it.

lol. i hear ya there...i started it with no exhaust...before i put the straight pipe in...oh boy is it louddd. id maybe like to keep it that way but i dont know if it will do damage or not.

The purpose of the exhaust system is to keep the exhaust gases (think carbon monoxide) out of the people area. If the exhaust pipes (muffled or not) do not go all the way to the back, dangerous gases can enter and build-up in the cab while the vehicle is stationary.

agreed... you need a turn down at the end of the pipe. as long as you dont blow thru the exaust dB levels set by the state/city you should be ok. your going to attract attention though... might be more headache than you think.
