Steve,

You can have my Dog. He is a black lab, 90 lbs and is as stupid as a stump. The dog has single handedly destroyed the front yard and parts of the house. He even started to pull that batting off the board and batting siding.

He is a great hiking partner though. He is still very young and full of energy. No way can I tire that dog out.

Want a 2nd dog? My 100+ pound black lab eats all my stuff to. (not saying the other dog isn't involved) But seriously you hand him a quarter and he'll swallow it before you can get it back. Who knows how many golf ***** he has in his belly- we had a bucket that now half empty and I have only found 5-6 golf ***** recently. And he wonders why I laugh at himwhens hes whining on the front lawn. Took both my dogs into emergency room a few months ago cause they ate some very poisinous medicine- vet calls us a hour or two later "All we found was Wendy's hamburger wrappers and lots of them". Guess it said on the medicine bottle "take with food". They saved there lives and off we went.
So you want a lab?

I had a lab once, no thanks... i'll keep Louie... he does like eating Red Bud trees... he's eaten the same 3 trees 3 or 4 times now and they keep growing back.

Planted a tree last year in the middle of our lawn (was healthy at the time, but not sure it would make it). Not even 15 minutes in the ground he tore a foot chunk of bark off the tree. What a bad boy! We are in the process of finishing our backyard (dogproof) so until then, the front yard does not grow grass...... and if we put them in the back- we'll possibly be lacking four wheeler and snowmobile seats!

Funny thing is that no matter how much of your stuff they eat or hide or whatever, it is all worth it when you come home in a bad mood and you get a wet, slobbery welcome and that look.

found a blood sucking tick on Louie this afternoon... I gotta tell ya, that dog is smart. as soon as I neel down to go to work on him he know's something is up and scampers off. finally had to be smarther than him and put everything out of site (alcohol & tweezers) and lure him back in. got him to sit still and while petting him (wifey helped) plucked it on the 1st try... he never knew what hit him
