Myself and a few other gents on this site have the ATS 5 STAR tc.

The factory Ram tc's had a single disc for a long time. I believe the newer trucks have a double disc. The ATS tc is a 5 disc tc with square tab engagement. It knocks ya back in the seat when it locks up. Warranties for three years or 150,000 miles. That kind of warranty says a lot...lol.

It's a bit pricy but you would never have to worry about your tc again. Will handle any torque/hp that you put through it.

There is also a 3 disc version if you're not making stupid amounts of tq/hp......lol.

Good luck with your ride.

I suggest ATS's.... I know I'm throwin around 900 ft lbs at it, and its takin it like a champ....
when boost comes on in first, it just FRIES the tires.... and if I have the co-pilot on, you can feel the converter lock up and just ROLL OUT!!!

then again, i also have ATS's racing trans (every option available but with towing friction discs so I don't have to replace them every year)
