boost fooler question

Default boost fooler question

I have a boost fooler on the way.
I just set up the predator handheld and the ROKK tech sensor

do you think I should add the Boost fooler? Im just afraid that I will over boost the turbo and blow it. I dont plan on getting any gauges until the warranty is up.

do you think I'll be safe running this? Quadzillas website says that it makes the boost get up to 40-42. that seems high for the stock turbo

The boost can certainly be increased. But, as always, high EGT's will follow. The cylinder head will have no problem with 30/35 lbs of boost. To maintain 40-42 lbs of boost for very long would be a task, I would think. You'd have to be dumpin heavy, heavy fuel, or be extreme towing.

What kinds of #'s are you suppose to be getting?


And how much snow did you get?


I had a little over 20 in back yard. I'm beat........lol.

I would think 40-42 psi would be pushing the stock turbo. I believe I saw a post from steve that said 40 psi is hard on it and that if the turbo sees 40 psi or more for long amounts of time it can hurt the turbo. Not sure aobut that so don't get mad if i'm wrong.

I set my programmer to read boost PSI and I got it to 42 if I mashed on it hard when going 55. but I think it would decrease if I left it going.
the roads were slick and the *** end was getting squirely.

If I was towing I would set my program to tow mode which takes the HP to 60 from 100. so I think it would never reach 42.

DD I got about 28" up here in the hills

The increased boost should lower EGTs, not raise them.

How does that work? He's adding more fuel. Fuel is heat. Letting the turbo run higher pressures will generate more heat thru the intercooler, and intake as well. Hotter air is less dense.


I may be confused...lol.

Who knows.
